LSE Architects served as the Architect of Record and led the construction phase for ZURU Group's office and showroom on the 4th floor of Gaviidae Commons in Downtown Minneapolis. While the design was developed by ZURU's global architectural team, based in Los Angeles, LSE was critical in translating that vision into a fully realized, high-performance space tailored for the Twin Cities market.
ZURU Group, a collection of New Zealand-based companies known for their innovative toys and consumer products, is rapidly expanding with over 30 global locations, 32 brands, and 5,000 team members. Their new Minneapolis location marks a strategic investment in the U.S. market.
From the outset, the LSE team partnered closely with ZURU to guide key project decisions—including the selection of Kraus-Anderson as the general contractor. Throughout construction, LSE provided comprehensive architectural oversight, including code analysis, site visits, field reports, shop drawing reviews, and continuous coordination with the contractor to assure the project stayed on time and on budget.
The finished space includes approximately 7,000 square feet of modern office space—featuring individual focus rooms, collaborative work areas, and a kitchen—as well as over 9,000 square feet of dynamic showroom space. This showroom allows ZURU to showcase its latest products and innovations to clients before they reach retail shelves.
This project reflects LSE's commitment to delivering thoughtful, high-quality environments that support our clients' goals. We are proud to have played a key role in helping ZURU establish a bold new presence in Minneapolis.
