LSE Architects began working with Minot Public Schools, a local partnering architectural firm, and Kraus Anderson as the Construction Manager at Risk in 2021 when the project started a bond planning effort to achieve a district realignment. The realignment included converting an existing office building to a high school, converting an existing 11-12 grade building to a comprehensive 9-12 high school, and converting a 9-10 center to a middle school to address overcrowding. In addition to the bond planning effort, LSE, with the District, prepared documents for a grant application for an additional $10M for Career Training Centers (CTE) within both high school projects. The $109M Bond, both Q1 and Q2, were passed by a historic 84% and 77%.
LSE is designing new spaces throughout the Minot District, partnering with local architect Ackerman Estvold in Minot, ND. Renovations and an addition feature a new pool building, cafeteria, and classroom spaces to serve unique learners throughout the District for decades. LSE and Ackerman Estvold led bond planning, district planning and realignment, a new CTE Center, a new High School, and renovations at an Existing High School.
